Markus started with code when code still required discipline. The work moved from assembler and BASIC to hotel systems, internet booking, enterprise procurement, charging infrastructure, smart grids and battery storage. The common line is simple: structure chaos until it works.
1966
Born in Haslach, Germany.
1984
Early software work: word processor on Z80. Discipline learned at machine level.
1986
StarBase database system. Early work on usable software frameworks.
1990
SOFA / OTHELLO hotel PMS: front-office software first in Turbo Pascal, later rebuilt for Windows and SQL.
1997
One of the early internet-based hotel booking engines, with thousands of contracted hotels across Europe.
2001
M-Exchange AG: business procurement systems deeply integrated into SAP, including aftersales purchasing processes for enterprise clients.
2015
Exit from M-Exchange activities and shift into electric mobility, startup training and infrastructure.
2016
Start of EV charging infrastructure business.
2020
Corsica: electric vehicle fleet integration, charging infrastructure, smart charging, payment and airport mobility hubs.
Today
Battery storage, energy infrastructure, strategic partnerships, Ukraine technology, drones and European infrastructure projects.
