Markus התחיל בקוד בתקופה שבה קוד עדיין דרש משמעת. העבודה עברה מאסמבלר ו-BASIC למערכות מלונאות, הזמנות באינטרנט, רכש ארגוני, תשתיות טעינה, רשתות חכמות ואגירת סוללות. הקו המשותף פשוט: לבנות סדר בכאוס עד שהוא עובד.

1966

נולד ב-Haslach, גרמניה.

1984

עבודת תוכנה מוקדמת: מעבד תמלילים על Z80. משמעת שנלמדה ברמת המכונה.

1986

מערכת מסדי הנתונים StarBase. עבודה מוקדמת על מסגרות תוכנה שימושיות.
